If you’ve always wanted to brighten up your studio or room with some plants but you don’t have a lot of room, there are some great solutions. More and more designers come up with great ideas that enable you to set up a little garden even if you live in a smaller house in an urban area. Take a look at these two fun examples.
The first one is the IKEA Socker. This is a miniature greenhouse that can be placed on small surfaces so you don’t have to give up too much room. The see-trough walls allow plenty of sunlight in so that your plants will grow wonderfully. You put the plants in the greenhouse through the roof vents. These can stay open if you want to keep larger plants. The roof vents also allow a better air circulation. With this greenhouse you can create a lovely indoor garden that is easily maintained.
Another great solution to greenify your studio or room is the GroVert Chalkboard Wall Planter from Williams-Sonoma. This object does not only allow you to grow your own herbs and to showcase them to your friends but you will also never pluck the wrong herb again. The GroVert Chalkboard Wall Planter, as the name suggests, gives you a chalkboard so you can easily label your herbs. This vertical garden includes a built-in irrigator that evenly distributes the water throughout the different cells. The water won’t be dripping on the floor because any excess water is collected by a small collector tray at the bottom. Another plus is that, for the construction of this object, only certified and recycled materials were used.

I love the IKEA Socker as well! How much does it cost? (It's IKEA, so I suppose it won't be very expensive?)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI'm going to put herbs in it, looks good and is great for your coocking as well :)

I really am a big fan of the wall planter. This would be a nice and catchy thing for the apartment my boyfriend and me are going to rent next year. Sadly, a visit to the website taught me that it isn't possible to ship it to Belgium... Too bad, I really really love this beauty! Maybe we could make one ourselves... :-)
